- 1.5hrs of volunteer teaching per week (TBD).

Product Design Crash Course
What You Will Learn:
- How to think like a designer
- How to design websites & applications
- How to prototype websites & apps
Time Commitment:
- 10hrs of in-class activities & lessons per week
- 10hrs of take home assignments per week
- 1.5hrs of volunteer teaching per week

Module 3:
Intro to Web Development
What You Will Learn:
- How to build a basic, mobile responsive website with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- How to build a fully functional website with WordPress
- How to deploy a web project online

- 10hrs of in-class activities & lessons per week
- 10hrs of take home assignments per week
- 1.5hrs of volunteer teaching per week

Module 4:
Intro to Digital Marketing
What You Will Learn:
- How to design and launch a Social Media Marketing campaign
- How to improve a website’s organic traffic with Search Engine Optimization
- How to design, build and market your personal website
Time Commitment:
- 10hrs of in-class activities & lessons per week
- 10hrs of take home assignments per week
- 1.5hrs of volunteer teaching per week

Module 5:
Final Project
What You Will Learn:
- How to work with a team using the SCRUM Project Management Methodology
- How to design, build and market a web campaign for a local business or NGO
- How to pitch your services, win contracts and bill clients

- 10hrs of in-class activities & lessons per week
- 10hrs of take home assignments per week
- 1.5hrs of volunteer teaching per week

In Person

All participants are expected to join for a minimum of 10hrs of in-person learning per week.
Virtual

In addition to in-person lessons, participants will have 10hrs of online coursework to complete each week.
Volunteering
1.5hrs
Each week, participants will be teaching computer coding to one youth mentee.

What matters most is that you are curious and have a desire to try something new and can commit for six months.
